Lakme Eyeconic Kajal Review

Kajal or Kohl is all time favorite makeup items for women’s. Here is a kajal from the house of the makeup giant Lakme. This kajal is literally Eyeconic as all you need is just one sweep of the kajal to make it stay on for a long time.

Product Description:

The product also claims to be compelety waterproof and smudge proof. The formula of the kajal is dermatologically tested and can be safely used on the eyes. It claims to last for 10 hours.

My Take on Lakme Eyeconic Kajal- Black

Packaging:

The Lakme Eyeconic Kajal comes in a twist-up format that retracts into place, unlike those in other brands. The packaging includes a black turquoise-blue strip and easy to carry around.

Texture:

The texture of the kajal pencil is very soft, smooth

Shade:

The kajal is deep black, very smooth, but not like crumbly smooth. But still I want to point out here that I clearly find the Maybelline Colossal Kajal to be more black and intense any day.  I am not carrying my Maybelline Colossal Kajal on this trip, so I can’t give you the swatch for it, but still, I remember how Colossal feels.  This one might even be smoother than the colossal kajal.  It glides on very well, but still in a firm way.

This kajal wins in terms of “no-smudge” claims. I can confidently say that this stays more on my oily eyelids than the Colossal one.  I have oily eyelids and any non-smudge kajal smudges on the lid after say 4 hours, but this one wore for at least 8 hours and I can say that the 10-hour claim is true and so is the “waterproof” claim and it did not sting my eye a bit and I think the dermatologically tested claim is absolutely correct.

You can apply it however you want, either on top or on lower lid. I apply it both ways individually or together. Just hold skin taut and swipe effortlessly starting from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner. You may extent the line above the outer corner for a winged eye look.

Pros:

  • Smudge-free.
  • Long-lasting.
  • Does not cause irritation to the eyes.
  • No tugging and pulling while applying.
  • Dark black shade.
  • Smooth texture.
  • Good to create different looks.
  • Easy to use.
  • Travel friendly.
  • Good staying power.
  • Dermatologically tested.

Cons:

  • Can only be removed with a makeup remover.

I did not notice any irritation or allergy in my eyes. Overall, this product turned out to be the best budget-friendly kajal.

IMBB Rating: 4.6/5
