Simple and Best Birthday Decoration Ideas At Home

Organizing a birthday party for your kids can be fun and interesting. There are so many great ideas that you can use like a theme for the birthday party. Cake, sweets, drinks and a lot of other cute stuffs decorated in birthday spirit will make your kid part the best day ever.

Here are some great birthday party decoration ideas for kids that you can use like inspiration for your kids next birthday party.

1. Ice Cream Cone Garland

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. Here is an easy project for an ice cream or a sweets party.  This colorful and festive garland looks delicious enough to eat, but won’t leave you with any sticky messes. Plus, it takes less than an hour to make! That means you’ll get a little extra time to sneak in a real scoop before all those guests show up.

2. Baby Shower Balloons

In some countries, the pending or recent birth of a child is celebrated with a baby shower. It’s a happy occasion and everyone showers the mother-to-be with gifts. The decor for the party is always super cute and often includes balloons. They come all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors and can be used in tons of creative ways.

3. Birthday Party  Banner

Many of you may know that we just got done celebrating my daughter’s 1st birthday. It was a blue and pink themed party with LOTS of DIY party decorations (did you really expect me to pay lots of $$ for it all considering how cheap I am?)! One of the things I made was this DIY birthday banner to go on the DIY party backdrop. The banner was super simple to make and turned out really cute.

4. DIY Birthday Decoration Using Photos

These Darlings DIY Birthday Decorations Using Photos were submitted by Louisa Kopp of Ice Cream off paper plates.

These DIY decorations are so fun and simple to make. You could use them for so many different events including birthday birthdays and showers.

5. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Idea

I love the Very Hungry Caterpillar themed first birthday party seen at Learn with Play at Home that this Australian mama made for her own child. It includes easy-to-copy decorations like a giant happy caterpillar made of green paper lanterns — and we’re all for easy. You’ll also find loads of free printable food labels and cute activities to keep the kids busy, like clever sticky table that toddlers and preschoolers will love.

6. Little Monster Birthday Bash

A colorful celebration for a first birthday!  Our Little Monsters were a huge hit with guests at this fantastic party.  The color palette was a rainbow of bright colors combined with chevron print in orange and black. I wanted to feature a large fluffy monster as our perfect background for this amazing dessert table.  Large eyes and a mouth gave life to this blue monster.

7. Balloon Decoration Ideas

Balloons are such a simple and cheap party decoration that kid’s love! They’re great for decor and play. I’ve thrown elaborate parties with tons of organized games, only to have the kid’s interest lost in the balloons! Kids are a lot simpler than we think, and with a little bit of creativity, we can throw them a party they’ll never forget using just plain old balloons, cake, and presents.
